Thank you for visiting my web page. I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Rochester. I study international relations, methodology, and applied formal theory. Broadly, my research is in the subfield of international conflict.

My dissertation examines territory and conflict and state conflict with radical non-state groups (e.g., terrorist groups). The essay in my dissertation entitled "The Strategy of Territorial Conflict" received the 2006 Stuart A. Bremer Award for best graduate student paper presented at the annual North American Meeting of the Peace Science Society.

You can find my curriculum vita and more information about my dissertation research and other projects below.
