Also looking at what might be improved in the future to make the old computer more reliable. Any add-on that doesn't require software drivers to work is a good thing. But having USB 2.0 is good too, especially when I just sunk $250 into a iPod Nano. File copy far too slowly without 2.0 enabled. So my old trusty dusty aftermarket manufacturer Sonnet Technology comes to the rescue again. Let me count the minutes. I've concluded that every keyboard that's had any liquid spilled into it (short of liquid CO2) will always be useless no matter how hard you try to dry it out. What's worse is if you were already having weird, odd behavior prior to that liquid spill, then you cannot tell what is spill and what is a real hardware problems. Got to try a new keyboard.
