YOJI SEKIYA

Welcome to My Website

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Rochester . I specialize in international relations and formal political theory, and my research interests are in international security as well as the link between domestic politics and international politics.

The dissertation proposes and tests plausible mechanisms of war initiation and termination by analyzing how countries bargain when agreements cannot be enforced by outside parties and when decision-making processes at the domestic level are incorporated.

More broadly, I am interested in non-cooperative bargaining problems in various political environments. I also use structural estimation of dynamic games in my research.

Here you can find my cv, papers, teaching material, and contact information.
